Philip J. Ryan, 54, of 1 Pleasant St. Court and formerly of Chelsea, died yesterday at the Mass. General Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Ryan was born in Chelsea, and lived there a good part of his life before moving to Charlestown after his marriage. Mr. Ryan was a resin maker employed by the Carpenter Morton Co., of Everett. He was employed there for 25 years.
