Kenneth Scott Akers, 25, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, in Louisville. A native of Frankfurt, W. Germany, he was a member of St. James Catholic Church, the Radcliff Rotary Club, and he was the director for the Radcliff campus of Midway College. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott C. Akers; and his grandparents, Tom and Mary Bryant. He is survived by his mother, Mary Carol Akers of Elizabethtown; a sister, Sarah Akers of Durham, N.C.; his fiancée, Caryl Adams of Ravenna, Ohio; and his grandparents, Don and Betty Akers of Springfield, Mo. His funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 at St. James Catholic Church with the Revs. Chuck Walker and John LaRocca officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
