Yvonne (Baetsen) Srenaski, 93, Green Bay, passed away Jan. 8, 2011, surrounded by her family. Born Feb. 22, 1917, she is the daughter of the late Jacob and Kathryn (Legener) Baetsen. Yvonne married Frank Srenaski on Aug. 31, 1935, at SS. Peter and Paul Church, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1992. Yvonne worked for ten years at Preble High School as a food service worker. She was a member at St. Philip's Church for 35 years. Yvonne enjoyed baking, bowling, needlework, cards, going to Brewers games, and strawberries and cream pancakes at Julie's Cafe. She was known for her poppy seed bread and her German potato salad.




She is survived by five children and their spouses, Bob (Donna) Srenaski, Dennis Srenaski, Mary (Ken) Unrath, Jeannie (Pete) Petasek, and Kate (Lee) Christenson; 13 grandchildren, Kathy (Brad) Rumsey, Claudia Wheeler, Steven (Jennifer) Srenaski, Shannon (Tony) Cerrato, Kevin (Julie) Srenaski, Chad Srenaski, Jenny (Eric) Specht, Mark Unrath, Nikki (Mike) Frelich, Nathan (Sheila) Petasek, Matthew (Michelle) Petasek, Barry (Terri) Christensen, and Crystal (Dave) Stevens; 24 great-grandchildren and four additional expected in 2011; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Leo Srenaski, Wally (Cy) Srenaski, and Rita Srenaski; many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two sons, Donald, and Thomas "Butch" (Sandy) Srenaski; four grandsons, Derek, Thomas Jr., Troy Srenaski, and John Unrath; two great-grandchildren, Wade and Jennifer Lambert; two sisters, Mildred "Millie" (Bud) Edwards, Lea (Bill) Deuster; one brother, Cully (Clara) Baetsen; special friend Eddie Ebeling.

Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home University Ave. at Baird St. Tuesday, from 4 until 8 p.m. Parish wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Philip's the Apostle Catholic Church Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass. Funeral Mass at 10 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Plier officiating. Burial at Allouez Catholic cemetery.
