Daughter of Rev. John & Martha ARDIS. Married 10 JUL 1827 in Putnam County, Georgia, to Stephen PACE.

In 1845, John ARDIS paid a tax of 12.5 cents in Muscogee County, Georgia (no poll tax), as a resident of Georgia Militia District #773 (Columbus Upper Town District). He paid a bridge toll of $15 in 1839 and 1840 each, and $10 in 1844 and 1846 each.

The inscribed marble plaque is loose and laid on top of a cairn of rough-hewn stone. It is not clear if the plaque belongs with this cairn, rather than another, or perhaps even a different type of grave. This cairn may be a child's or infant's grave, as it is smaller than any of the others, which are all adult sized.

FindAGrave Contributor #47291336 "Anonymous" reports that Mary's middle initial "M." stands for "McCoy."

Jennifer Jones Page, Contributor #48188074, reports(16 FEB 2015): "Mary Ann Polly McCoy Ardis Pace was the daughter in law of William Pace 1773-1851 buried here in this cemetery. She was married to his son Stephen and their children are John William Pace, Sarah Elizabeth Pace, Thomas M. Pace, Amelia Lucy Pace, Georgianna Pace, Mary McCoy Pace, Issac Stephen Pace, Anna Pace, Martha Ardis Pace, Elkanah Pace, Missouri Francis Pace."
