Services for former Akron residents, Joseph E Hewitt, 78, who died Tuesday in Bradenton Beach, Fla will be held 12:30 pm. Saturday at Adams funeral home where friends may call after 7 pm Friday night. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery.
Born in West Virginia, Mr. Hewitt moved to Florida 11 years ago. He retired from Goodyear 12 years ago, where he was an electrician. He was a member of Harvey Memorial Church in Bradenton Beach and the Goodyear 25 year club. He was a Mason. He leaves wife Pearl, son Herman (Bud), two daughters, Mrs. Viola Frederick, Akron and Mrs Mary Rife in Tennessee, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
