Their home was on the Victorian Home Tour: The Dr. Post House - (formerly 1380) 1418 south Main street - Victorian Vernacular built in 1898. Like many fine homes it expressed individual taste by using more than one style, this one using Classical Revival and Queen Anne. The window arrangement in the front gable is a variant of the Palladian type, which consists of an arched center window flanked by two smaller, rectangular windows.
A son, Winifred Luscombe Post, M.D. died in 1977, buried in Mount Hope Cemetery with his father, her spouse, Dr. W. B. Post.
At the age of 83 years she passed away from a cerebral thrombosis and complications of artero-sclerosis at St. John's Hospital in Joplin.

Her Mother was the former Miss Christina Orchard.
Her father T. T. Luscombe and C. F. McElroy, father of Walter F. McElroy, were associated in the dry goods business here for years. Later Mr. Luscombe sold out to Mr. McElroy and engaged in mining. He had extensive holdings in the district, particularly in the old Carterville-Webb City field then in its hey-day.
Mr. Luscombe years ago opened the Tripoli works at Seneca and he and his family lived there for a time, returning to Carthage when he sold the property to Robert Ornduff, at that time a Carthage resident.
NOTE: Some family death certificates show Thomas Luscombe's place of birth as Toronto, Canada.
Leslie Simpson representing the Post Memorial Library found a notation on the back of Mr. Luscombe's photo, a notation by Winfred L. Post, that Thomas T. Luscombe was born in Devonshire, England, and the family moved to Toronto when he was 1 year old.
T. T. Luscombe was mayor of Carthage in 1883. He and Mrs. Luscombe came to Carthage from Carrollton, Missouri. The family home was on South Main, next door south of the present day residence of Mrs. W. B. Post, a daughter of the Luscombes.
Two sisters and 2 brothers and her parents preceded her in death. Her mother died about 50 years ago. Her father passed away in 1915. Her brother, Tom Luscombe, died August 4, 1914, another brother Carl B. Luscombe and the sisters, Mrs. Burt Blair, died in 1929 and Miss Maud Luscombe in 1948.
