Otto was the town blacksmith. One hot day he took a drink from the well and got typhoid fever and died, August 11, 1930. His son Floyd had yet to be born.
He was buried along the fence at the Carthage Cemetery. Now in 2011 his grave is no longer next to that fence. instead due to expansion of the cemetery he is in the center. Anna would be happy to know this.
The day of his funeral the local canning factory sent a huge spray of flowers.
His children blessed him with the following grandchildren he never knew....but love him.
His daughter Ruth blessed him with 7 grandchildren
