Joseph Battle-Davis, along with his wife, Tamera Brown-Battle, was sent to be with the angels on Jan. 22, 2011.
Al-though he was taken from us way too soon, he has left so many wonderful memories and touched so many lives, that he will never be forgotten. They have left it up to us to take care of their two beautiful children, Jazi and Joey. Need not worry.
Joe was born on Sept. 27, 1969, in Oakland and raised in Vallejo, Calif.
Joe loved camping, being in the water, watching his kids play sports, coaching and spending time with his family and friends.
Joe was a member of the rap group N2DEEP, and also released a solo album under his rap name LOFTY. Through his music, he was able to travel and perform all over the globe.
He was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered for always being the life of the party and for making sure to put a smile on everyone's face.
He is survived by his daughter, Jazi; son, Joey; mother, Jinny Grondin; sister, Tahra Davis; brother, Nino Davis; nieces, Taquise Ervin and Nianna Garrido-Davis;, a nephew, Brandon Buford; his second family, The Trujillos; and so many friends and loved ones from all over the world.
A service to celebrate his and Tami's life will be held at noon on Feb. 5, at the Dan Foley Cultural Center, Vallejo, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made payable to: The Brown-Battle Memorial Fund, Travis Credit Union, P.O. Box 2069, Vacaville, CA 95696, Account No. 472536, Attn. M.S.A. Dept.
