SIOUX CITY -- Ada M. Glau, 74, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home after a prolonged illness.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Bishop Timothy Foster officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Ada was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Sioux City, the daughter of Eugene J. and Martha J. (Lemming) LaFave. She married Darrell R. Glau on Sept. 15, 1951, in Lawton, Okla. He died Aug. 31, 1987 in Sioux City.

She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed cross stitch and jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include a son, David Glau of Sioux City; two daughters and their husbands, Debra and Terry Wall of Dakota Dunes, S.D. and Dianne and Bill Brown of Sioux City; a brother and his wife, Donald and Sylvia LaFave of Imperial Beach, Calif.; three sisters, Roberta Brown of Sioux City, Verle Williams of Portland, Ore. and Julia LaFave of Buffalo, Mo.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Dennis; her parents; four sisters and three brothers.
