JOSEPHINE MCGOUN
Of Longwood at Oakmont and formerly of Grove City, died accidentally on June 14, 2000. She was 85, born September 12, 1914 in New Castle to the late Samuel H. and Mable Crawford McGoun. She was a member of the Oakmont Presbyterian Church, served as President of the Oakmont Garden Club, Women's Club of Oakmont, and the Women's Association of the Oakmont Presbyterian Church. She served for 14 years as a volunteer at the Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, caring for babies with special needs. Mrs. Montgomery was a driver for the American Cancer Society. She was a member of Tower Presbyterian Church in Grove City, and a volunteer at Grove City Hospital. Mrs. Montgomery was a the wife of the late Robert R. Montgomery of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and Barbara M. Arnold of Harrisburg, Sister of the late Samuel H. McGoun Jr. and James C. McGoun, Grandmother of Beverly Arnold Stephensen, John Montgomery Arnold, Elizbeth Appleby Arnold, Suzanne Shannon Montgomery, Matthew Watson Montgomery, and Karen Eva Montgomery: four great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, June 24, 2---. before the 10:30 .am. Memorial Service at Longwood at Oakmont. A reception will follow for family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery, Grove City. Memorials may be made to the Robert R. and Josephine M.
