Oleta was born in Le Roy, IA to Mabel and William G Barbour. The youngest of 5 children, she graduated from Beaconsfield High School in 1936. Oleta married Normand C. Moon on June 26, 1938 and began married life on a farm in Beaconsfield, IA. To this union a son Charles was born in 1940. They moved to Omaha, in 1942, where they lived for over 62 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years; her parents; 3 brothers; 1 sister. She is survived her son, Charles and his partner, David; her granddaughter, Bevin and her husband, Bill, all Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Christopher and wife, Shawna, and great grandchildren Sean and Mariah, all Amery, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many long time friends, including her best friend, Lucille Jackson.
GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be held at Westlawn Hillcrest Memorial Park, Omaha, on January 25th at 10am with Reverend Mike Lincoln officiating. VISITATION is January 24th from 3-8pm, and 6-8pm with family.
