Evelyn Fugate, 76, of West Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday evening, Jan. 19, 2011, in Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born Oct. 28, 1934, in Terre Haute, to Jacob and Nettie Baugh. Her husband, Chester "Husky" Fugate, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her five children, Larry Fugate and his wife Lisa of Springdale, Ark., Eddie Fugate and his wife Ute of Modesto, Calif., Greg Fugate of Springdale, Ark., Joyce Klassen of Chalmette, La., and Mike Fugate and his wife Andra of Canton, Ga.; two stepsons, Johnny Fugate and his wife Mary Lou of West Terre Haute and Bobby Fugate and his wife Debra of Terre Haute; a brother, Larry Baugh of San Francisco; a sister, Beulah Christenberry and her husband Jack of Terre Haute; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Carter; a stepson, Jim Fugate; and 12 siblings.
