Obituary: Sarah Severns, was born in Coshocton county, Ohio, Dec. 15, 1831, departed this life June 8, 1900; aged 08 years, 5 months and 23 days. She was united in marriage to Isaac H. Coplen, Dec. 11, 1853. To this union nine children were given, five boys and four girls. All were present to mourn the loss of a kind mother. The father departed this life Dec. 1, 1877. The deceased leaves five sisters and two brothers. Two brothers and four sisters having preceded her in death. Sister Coplen united with the Mohawk Valley Baptist church, of Coshocton county, Ohio, about the year 1850. And moving to Fulton county, Ind., she became a member of the Yellow Creek Baptist church, of which she remained a faithful member till death claimed its victim. Funeral services were held at the Sycamore church, conducted by Rev, W. F. Smith.

-^Mrs. Sarah Coplen died, yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the age of 69 years. The cause being a stroke of paralysis and typhoid fever combined. She was born in Coshocton county. Ohio, where she remained until 22 years of age when she came to Indiana with her parents, where she was united in marriage with Isaac H. Coplen, to whom were born five boys and four girls all of whom survive the parents. James Coplen and Perry Coplen are residents of this place. She leaves two brothers and five sisters. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Smith, at the Sycamore church at 10 o'clock Sunday. Interment at Sycamore cemetery.
