He was born November 25, 1904, in Iola, Kansas. he lived most of his life in Topeka. He owned and operated the J. D. Holt Tire Company in Topeka for 40 years.
He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No 204, where he was a past exaltant ruler.
He was married to Edna Holt. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Jack E. Holt, 1000 Kansas, a sister, Mrs. Margaret Sanneman, 1120 MacVicar; a brother R. LaVay Holt, San Juan Capistrano, California.
Services will be at 1 pm Wednesday at the Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, in care of the Arab Temple, Box 1754, Topeka.
