William "Bill" Harrison, age 84, died on Tuesday, August 6, 1996 at a local hospital. He was born on April 4, 1912 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, the son of the late Roscoe and Emma Harrison. Bill married Gladys Kempfer on May 21, 1938. They had resided in Sun Prairie for 39 years. He was employed with Ohmeda for 31 years until his retirement in 1977. William was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Madison. In additon to Gladys, his wife of 58 years, survivors include his son, Earl (Donna) of Sun Prairie; his graddaughter, Julie (Joe) Bakke, Theresa (Steve) Pletcher, Amy (Steve) Scott; four great-grandchildren, all of Sun Prairie; three brothers, Vern (Virginia), Don (Lucille) and Evan (Opal), all of Madison; his sisters, Dorothy Redders, Arlene Anderson, both of Madison; Vera Bunnell of DeForest, and Evelyn (Elmer) Millette of Poynette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sons; and a sister, Vivian Mathison. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 1996, with Reverend Brad Pohlman presiding. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Friday. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home. William will be deeply missed by all who knew him, yet he will remain in our hearts forever.
