Robert Getry Ballew, 80, Athens Rt. 1, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Concord Baptist Church. The Rev. Matthew Russell officiated; McConnell Funeral Home directed burial in the Bethel Cemetery in Hartselle.
Surviving Mr. Ballew are his wife, Mrs. Cleo Ballew, Athens Rt. 1; four sons, Seth Ballew, Hartselle; Logan Ballew, Fayetteville, Tenn.; Bobby Ballew and Ray Ballew, both from Athens; two daughters, Mrs. Bob Clark, Decatur; Mrs. Arnie Bradshaw, Birmingham; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
