Jacob K. Hefty, age 75, of 3637 Gregory St. died on Thursday, February 5, 1981 at his home. He was born on February 28, 1905 in Primrose Township, Dane County, the osn of Joseph and Anna Hefty. He was a retired farmer in Dane County and since 1964 had worked at the DeCar company until his retirement. Survivors include, his wife, the former Clara Kempfer, who he married on Septemeber 28, 1927; three sons, Eugene and LaVerne, both of Mt. Horeb, and Donald of Verona; three daughters, Mrs. Arlene King of Verona, Mrs. Carolyn Dell of DeForest, and Mrs. Dinah Thies of Madison; four brothers, Paulus and Alvin of Mt. Horeb, Martin of Madison, and Palmer of Sarona; eight sisters, Mrs. Margaret Piltz, and Miss Wilma Hefty, both of Madison, Mrs. Esther Johnson of Sarona, Mrs. Olga Steiner of Belleville, Mrs. Mabel Kittleson of Mt. Horeb, Mrs. Anna Kempfer of New Glarus, Mrs. Violet Gainer of Monroe, and Mrs. Fern Mellor of West Salem; 19 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers. Funeral services will be hel on Saturday, February 7, at 2 p.m. at the JOYCE-VERONA FUNERAL HOME, 118 N. Franklin St., Verona. Burial is in Sunset Memory Garden. Friends may call at the Funeral Home after 4 p.m. on Friday.
