Services: Graveside service and interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Smith Magnolia Room with Pastor Adrian Jones officiating.

Lucille Brakefield Cutshaw, age 96, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Fairpark Health Care Center.

She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She along with her husband, John Echard Cutshaw operated a grocery store in the Chilhowee View Community for 25 years. Both were Maryville High School graduates of 1930 with Lucille being the captain of the basketball team. Lucille was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a Past Worthy Matron of the chapter in Harrison, TN;

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Lena Brakefield, husband Echard Cutshaw, brother James and sisters Elizabeth and Mildred.

She is survived by daughter, Barbara and spouse Fred Jeffries, and grandchildren, Angie, Dean and Duane Jeffries of Brentwood, TN, daughter, Elizabeth (Betty) Whitehead and grandchildren, John David Whitehead and Barbara Lynn Rigsby of Maryville, ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Sue Rapuano and sister-in-law, Velma Grindstaff and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Smith Magnolia Room with Pastor Adrian Jones officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers please make contributions to your church or favorite charity in memory of Lucille Cutshaw.
