Paul, 84, of St. Johns, MI died Friday, at Ingham County Medical Care Facility, Lansing, MI.

A Memorial Service was held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel St. Johns, MI on Friday, January 28, 2011. A luncheon was served immediately following at St. Isadore Catholic Church in Laingsburg, MI.

Paul was the son of August and Myrtle (Lewis) Kaiser. He graduated from Elk Rapids High School with the class of 1944. He married Leora (Harris) Kaiser on June 15, 1951 in Lansing, MI. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. Paul had resided in the Laingsburg area for the past 45 years. He was owner/ operator of 4M Garage in Lansing, MI, and Stars and Stripes Trucking of Laingsburg. Paul had a passion for golfing, and loved taking care of his lawn. Most of all, his family was the most important to him.

He is survived by his wife Leora Kaiser, son Steven and Lana Kaiser of Laingsburg, MI, 3 daughters; Karen and Patrick Syroka of Holt, MI, Jill and Randy Hurst of Laingsburg, MI, Lisa and Floyd Koerner III of Laingsburg, MI, 10 grand children; Carmen and Dan Woodbury of Elsie, MI, Angie Kaiser of Owosso, MI, Nicole and Nick Ketchum of Owosso, MI, Sgt. Derek and Shawna Syroka of Colorado Springs, CO, Jesse Hurst of Laingsburg, MI, David Hurst of Laingsburg, MI, Jared Hurst of Laingsburg, MI, Christopher Koerner of Laingsburg, MI, Amy Koerner of Laingsburg, MI, Tracey Koerner of Laingsburg, MI, 8 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Walter and Rena Kaiser of Swartz Creek, MI, Harry and Lorraine Kaiser of Flint, MI, and sister in law; Audrey Kaiser of Kewadin, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 granddaughters; Lindsay Koerner and Cyntia Kaiser and a brother William Kaiser.
