HAZEL E. HOWELL
Hazel E. (Robe) Blacksten Howell, 85, of Orlando, FLA., died Tuesday in the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Cooper Township and resided in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo before moving to Orlando in 1971. She was a member of the Bedford O.E.S. Chapter.
Her great-grandfather, James Theodore Robe, established Methodist churches in Kalamazoo and Galesburg.
She is survived by a son, Robert L. Kline of Kalamazoo; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia H. Osterberg of Orlando; a sister, Mable Whipple of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, C. Lucille Lepird of Sherman Lake.
Memorial services were held today at Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Orlando, Florida.
