He was born on October 1, 1933, a son of Charlie Porter and Cecil Wakefield Adams.
He was a trucker, active with Christians In Action, baptized into the Paris Bible Church, and was a Korean veteran serving in the Marine Corp.
He was preceded in death by his foster parents Sterling & Alice Evans.
Mr. Adams is survived by his children, the mother and husband of Forney, Tex.; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; brothers and wife of Corpus Christi and of Waco.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 P.M. Thursday at the Highland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 till 3 P.M. Thursday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
