Robert Rhorer Sterrett graduated from Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana received a Master's degree from St. Louis University, St. Louis, St. Louis City, Missouri. He received his PhD. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana, Ill.
Robert was associated with U.S. Rubber Company in N.J. at the time of his mother's death. He was a professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana, Ill. at the time of his father's death.
Robert was buried in the Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church yard, off US 11 near Lexington, Va.

Robert Rhorer Sterrett, 63, of Dalton, Ga., died Sunday in a Chattanooga, Tenn. Hospital.
He was born Nov. 7, 1909 in Lebanon, Ky. and was the son of the late James Reid Sterrett and Mabel Rhorer Sterrett.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Heald Sterrett; three sons, Robert Richard Sterrett of New Haven, Conn., Dr. James Reid Sterrett of Little Falls, N.J. and John Douglas Sterrett of Dalton, and a brother Dr. James Reid Sterrett of Lexington, Ky.
The Rev. Robert Leonard conducted a funeral service yesterday at 3 p.m. in Timber Ridge AR Presbyterian Church Cemetery."
