Martha A. Aiken, 87, of Kittanning, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 18, 1923, in Ford City, a daughter of the late Stephan Kozuch and Anna M. Balsic Kozuch. A former employee of PPG and Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, she was a member of St. Mary's Church in Kittanning. She loved swimming, building puzzles, sitting on her porch, planting flowers and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Tammy Aiken, of Ford City; three grandchildren, John Aiken, Alysha Law and Rachael Aiken; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Law. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Aiken; son, David E. Aiken; a longtime companion, Michael Lichanec; three sisters, Julia Schaffhauser, Anne M. Kozuch and Mary A. Kozuch; and three brothers, Paul A. Kozuch, Joseph Kozuch and Steven Kozuch. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the MANTINI FUNERAL HOME, 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Church, Kittanning with Father Daniel Blout as celebrant.
