Louise (Miss Lou) Collins Hiers, a native of Atlanta, GA and a resident of New Orleans for the past 58 years, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Age 91 years. Mother of the late Travis Gray. Daughter of the late Lottie Bailey Collins and Floyd Collins. Miss Lou was a member of Christ Church Cathedral and was a past president of Episcopal Women of Christ Church Cathedral and the Women's Auxiliary of the Volunteers of America. She was active member in the New Orleans Opera Guild, St. Elizabeth Guild and was a member of the New Orleans Power Boat Squadron. The family extends special thansk and appreciations to the staff of Malta Park.
