Son of Jesse Isaiah Romig and Susanna Fry Dry, Isaac's parents were born in Pennylvania. Isaac had 11-siblings:

Abraham,
Sarah,
Catherine.

Isaac lived in Coventry, a small section between Akron and Barberton, Ohio. His occupation was as a farmer. He married twice. His first wife was Lucy Anne Good, (1830/June,1855). They were married on 1-21-1849 at Seneca, Ohio. They had 2-children:

Sarah Matilda, born 3-21-1851
Mary Magdalene, born 10-23-1853.

After Lucy's death in 1855, Isaac married Mary Good on Christmas day, 1855 in Ohio. They had 8-children:

Franklin Sylvester, born 11-27-1856
William Isaac, born 9-12-1859
Emma Lucinda, born 8-28-1862
Hiram Francis, born 8-31-1865
George Washington, born 7-4-1868
Clara M., born 10-6-1871
Charles N., born 9-12-1875
Archie Herman, born 8-16-1878.

Isaac was one of the earliest settlers of Barberton, Ohio. His farmland is now Greenlawn Cemetery and Rolling Acres Mall. Romig Road is named for him.
