Edith Frances Loftus was born June 24, 1914, in St. Ansgar, Iowa, to John and Lilly Cerny.

On March 6, 1939, she was married to Vincent Loftus. She was employed at the Hormel Plant and Canton Cafe, Austin, before her marriage.

They lived in California for seven years, then came to Austin, residing here util 1957, when they moved to Greeley, Colorado.

She was employed at the Vic Lounge, Greeley, intilthe time of her death, February 10, 1981.

Survivors are her husband; three daughters: Mrs. Calvin (Judith) Werner, Grover, Colorado, Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Johnson, Northwood, North Dakota, Mrs. Stanley (Della) Suickta, Greeley; four sons: Walter, Richard, Vincent, George of Greeley; four sisters: Mrs. George (Irene) Anderson, Owatonna, Ella Gnocchi, Mrs. Wilbur (Leona) Kraft, Mrs. Alfred (Lottie) Street, Austin; and 14 grandchildren.

Her parents, a brother, John and a sister, Della, preceded her in death.

She was buried in Greeley. Out-of-town persons attending the funeral were from Austin, Rochester, Dover, St. Charles, Minnesota, Waterloo, Iowa, Utah, San Francisco, San Jose, and Ontario, California.
