When she was about seven years old, her parents moved to Colang (?), Ontario, Canada. When she was around the age of 17, her parents moved to Logan County, and settled near Salt Creek.
Married John Dean Gillett. Obit gave the date of the marriage as March 31, 1842. Have not been able to verify the date or place.
They had eleven children: 9 daughters and two sons.
Died of pneumonia. 80 years old.
Survived by the following children: Mrs. Richard J. Oglesby, Mrs. Mary C. Hill, Mrs. Charlotte Barnes, Miss Nina L. Gillett, Miss Amaryllis T. Gillett, and Jessie D. Gillett.
