Mr. Floyd Ellis, 72, died Friday, October 6, 1995 in Livingston, LA of a heart attack. Born September 16, 1923 in Table Grove, IL he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Gertrude Montgomery Ellis. He was a retired carpenter for Boh Brothers Construction Company and was a member of Carpenter's Local #1098. He was a member of Claylick United Methodist Church in Salvisa, a member of VFW Post #1707, Ellis Facundus American Legion Post #178 and Odd Fellows Lodge in Denham Springs. He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors include: his wife, Frances Stratton Ellis, formerly of Mercer County; one daughter, Sherry Ellis Clark, Denham Springs, LA; two sisters, Juanita McMahon and Mary Wade, both of Illinois; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Ellis Kinchen. Funeral services were held Monday October 9, at the Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA conducted by the Rev. Ivy Carroll and the Rev. Paul Taylor. Burial was in Greenoaks Memorial Park in Denham Springs, LA.
