Miss Minnie Dadt – Andrew Anderson Married June 15
In Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa

Miss Minnie Dadt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Peterson of Huntington, and Mr. Andrew Anderson of Verona, Wis. were united in marriage Saturday afternoon, June 15, at three o'clock in the Little Brown Church of Nashua. The Rev. Hanscon read the single ring ceremony.

Mrs. Tillie Mohr of Terril and Mr. Roy Lenbke of Huntington attended the couple.

The bride was attractively attired in a princess styled alphaca, new haven blue gown with matching jacket and white accessories. She had a shoulder corsage of pink peonies. Mrs. Mohr was dressed in a dusty rose alphaca frock with white accessories and wore a shoulder corsage of white peonies. The groom and best man had boutonnieres of white peonies.

Mrs. Anderson received her education in the schools of Shaller, Iowa and Emmet county. For the past several years she had been employed as telephone operator at Huntington.

Mr. Anderson was educated in the schools at Verona, Wis., and is a carpenter by trade.

They took a ten days trip to Estes Park, National Park and Cheyenne, Wyo., and returned here Monday. Tuesday morning they left for Middleton, where they will make their home. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, June 27, 1940)

Huntington – Services for Minnie Henrietta Anderson, 83, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Kermit Rye officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Thursday, August 15, 1991 at her home in Huntington.

Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after 4 p.m. Sunday. She was born November 26, 1907 in Hayes Township of Ida County, Iowa, the daughter of George and Dora (Grasmuck) Dadt and attended Ellsworth Township schools. On June 15 1940 she married Andrew Anderson in the Little Brown Church at Nashua. She was employed as a switchboard operator for the Ellsworth Township area. The couple lived in Middleton, Wis. following marriage and returned to Iowa in 1946 where they lived in Huntington. The couple farmed at Arthur from 1957-79 before returning to Huntington. She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew of Huntington; three sons: Everett, Wind Lake, Wis., Anthony, Jordan, Minn. and Alvin, Panorama City, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Anna) Devitt, Cypress, Calif. and Mrs. Douglas (Mary) Robinson, Estherville; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Margaret Olbertz and Gertrude Greenwald, both of Ida Grove; a sister-in-law, Margaret Dadt, Ida Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-parents, one brother and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 1, 1991)
