Sister Bettie T. Strode, born in Virginia Sept. 2, 1828, came to mo., settled near New London. Married E. B. Strode, 5/11/1845. Had 5 sons and 3 girls, all living except 2; a son who died young and the late lamented sister Barkley. Also leaves 3 sisters: Mrs. Strange of Louisiana, Mrs. Lynch and Mrs. Glascock of Ralls County.
