Gladys L. Casto, 79, of Akron died May 20, 2002.


Survivors include one son, Clarence Casto Jr; three daughters, Rosalie Wilson, May Rose and Betty Runion; 32 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; three brothers; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, 406 Market St., Spencer. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Billings, W.Va. Friends may call from noon-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home

Gladys L. Casto, 79, passed away May 20, 2002.

Born Nov. 11, 1922, in Roane County, W.Va., Mrs. Casto lived in the Akron area most of her life, and was a member of Lakemore Community Baptist Church. She was also a member of Beech Grove Methodist Church in Billings, W.Va.

Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Casto; daughter, Mary Springston; brother, Junior Lockhart; and sisters, Jane Wise and Mary Lockhart, she is survivied by son, Clarence Casto, Jr. of Ft. Myers, Fla,; daughters, Rosalie Wilson of Akron, Mary Rose of Liverpool, W.Va., and Betty Runion of Spencer, W.Va.; 32 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Oliver Lockhart, Ivan Lockhart and Eugene Lockhart; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services Thursday, 2 p.m., at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, 406 Market St., Spencer, W.Va. 25276, with Rev. Leslie Whited and Rev. Howard Nichols offiicating. Burial at Beech Grove Cemetery in Billings, W.Va. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to service time, from 12 to 2 p.m. in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the family in care of the John H. Taylor Funeral Home.

NOTE:
Clarence was married to a Delphia Boggs 10 Nov 1930. I believe the children, Mary Rose and Betty Runion are her children as they were born in the 1930s before Gladys married Clarence 12 Feb 1940.

In addition, Mary Springston (1930-1988) and Clarence Jr (1934-2010) were Delphia's children, not Gladys's.
