Agnes Marie Stein Holt was born August 19, 1938 in Leavenworth, Kansas to George A & Gladys Marie Cook Stein. She lived in Leavenworth all her life, attending Leavenworth Catholic School and was a 1956 graduate of Immaculata High School. She attended Saint Mary college. Mrs. Holt was a cashier and clerk for the Leavenworth Waterworks department for over 32 years. She married Robert Noah Holt on June 25, 1959 at Edwardsville, Kansas. She had one son, Robert A, and one daughter Theresa Marie. She was very active in the community, as a leader for the Happy Hollow 4-H club, was Secretary/treasure for Leavenworth County Rural Water District #1. She was also cellist for the Spirit of Christ Folk group, and life long member of Saint Joseph Carmelite Catholic Church in Leavenworth, Kansas. A memorial award was made, The Agnes M Holt Accolade for Tenacity Award at Immaculata High School
