NAPA - Edgar T. Buhn, 82, died Friday in a Mountain View convalescent, hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was a Napa County native and worked at the Napa Register for three years before becoming a shipwright at Mare Island Naval Shipyard, where he worked for 60 years and retired in I960.
He was a member of the Solano Lodge No. 229 F.&A.M. and Eastern Star, Vallejo,
He is survived by his wife Marjorie O. Buhn of Napa: two sons, Robert S. Buhn of Napa and James E. Buhn of Sebastapol and six grand­children.
Private graveside services will be Tuesday at Tulocay Cemetery. Friends may call at Richard Pierce Funeral Service from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m Sunday and Monday to pay their respects.

Napa Register Monday September 17, 1984 Edgar T. Buhn MOUNTAIN VIEW - Edgar T. Buhn, 82, died Friday in a Mountain View convalescent hospital follow­ing a lengthy illness. He was born in Coombsville June 1, 1902, and attended local .schools. Following his schooling, he worked at The Napa Register in various positions from 1917 to 1920. He then became employed at Mare Island Naval Shipyard as a shipwright and worked there for 40 years, retiring in 1960. After his retirement from Mare Island, he did cabinet work for his cousin, Charles Johnson. He was a member of Solano Lodge No. 229, F. & A. M.; and Silver Star Chapter No. 3,[correctly Vallejo Chapter 278] O. E. S., of Vallejo. He enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Buhn is survived by his wife, Marjorie O. of Napa; two sons, Robert S. of Napa and James E. of Sebastapol; and six grandchildren. Six sisters predeceased him. Private graveside services will be held Tuesday at Tulocay Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel of Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, until 8 p. m. tonight.
