Earl L. Howell, 619 Edgewater Dr., died in his residence at 6 a.m. today after several years illness. He was born in Nebraska May 27, 1888, and came here 22 years ago from Illinois. He was married in Joliet, Ill., in 1934, to Mildred Montgomery, who survives. He leaves also a stepson, Conley W. Montgomery, of Madison, Wisc.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. James W. Nelson, of Hammond, Ind.; four grandchildren and two brothers, Robert, of Centralia, Mo., and Paul, of Pekin, Ill. He was a member of of the United Commercial Travelers and the Power Engineers of America.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home where the funeral will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday. Rev. William N. Whear D. D., pastor of Grace Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

HOWELL - Pallbearers for the funeral of Earl L. Howell, 619 Edgewater Dr., who died Thursday were Morgan Gilbert, Warren Cline, Lawrence Riggin, Eugene Dreibelbis, Richard Widmar and Albert Dunkel. Honorary pallbearers were Orval Clymer, George Gale, Ivan Fowler, William Ganser, Wendell Tase, Otis Wells and Henry Sloan.
