Schanzmeyer rites Monday Mrs. Cecilia M. Schanzmeyer, 81, of St Elizabeth, died Friday morning at a Jefferson City hospital. Mrs. Schanzmeyer was born April 10, 1891, near St Elizabeth, the daughter of Frank and Anna Heisler Kemna. She was married Nov. 29, 1941,. at Eldon to August F. Schanzmeyer, who died in January, 1962. Mrs. Schanzmeyer was a life-long resident of St Elizabeth and a member of the St Lawrence Catholic Church as well as St Anns Sodality. Survivors include: Three step-sons, .Leonard Schanzmeyer; St Elizabeth, August Schanzmeyer Jr., Westphalia, and Francis Schanzmeyer, St Louis; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Catherine Oligschlaeger, Tipton, and Mrs. Laurentia Verhoff, St Elizabeth; and two brothers, Louis Kemna and August Kemna, both of St Elizabeth. One sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilde, St Elizabeth; 28 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Stevinson Chapel, St Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday., at the St Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Ferdinand Bonn officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
