1. William James Blakely, 1861-1893
2. Benjamin Legrand Gordon, 1869-1955
A stone that appears older lies in Gourdines Chapel Cemetery. On it are the name and dates of William James Blakely only. This, apparently newer, stone has names and dates for him and Sarah, which suggests both are buried at Gourdines. At Suttons Methodist Church, Williamsburg County, are stones for Sarah's second husband and that husband's second wife.
Sarah's husband William James Blakely died in 1893. Sarah married Benjamin Legrand Gordon about 1895. In the 1900 census, Sarah said she had given birth to seven children, two of whom were living. Her daughter and her son, Bertha and young William James Blakely, were listed as step children of Benjamin Legrand Gordon.
