Anita Jane Greeley, 85, went peacefully home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Jan 15, 2011. She was born Nov 12, 1925, at her family home in Superior's East End, and was a lifelong Superior resident.

She married Bill "Pa" Greeley on Oct 14, 1944. Together they loved and raised eight children, 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

'Jane', as she preferred to be called, worked behind the fountain at Newberry's Five and Dime, and the Food Service at Superior Memorial Hospital. She was a faithful member of First Covenant Church in Superior; in her later years, she volunteered as the greeting-card-sender and a secretary for the church. She loved sketching, classic Hollywood movies and Hollywood award shows. She collected porcelain birds, which she wanted to divide among her grandchildren after her death.

She was preceded in death by Bill; daughter, Shelly; grandchildren, Bradley and Kelli; sister, Margaret Patchin; and brothers, John Osborne and Donald Osborne.

She is survived by her sisters, Janet Raik of Superior and Jessie Johnson, Tucson, AZ; her chidren, Bill (Dianne)Greeley, Sharyn Remer, Sandy (Chet) Petzold, Susan Greeley, Sally (Rich) Thompson, Sheila (John) Parker and Stacey Greeley.

Inurnment will be in the spring at the family plot in Nemadji Cemetery.
