S. J. Baxter, 66, died suddenly of a heart attack at his hime at Bentleyville, Saturday.
He was a life-long resident of Washington County and moved to Bentleyville 11 years ago.
He leaves his wife, Elizabeth Jane Smith Baxter, and the following brothers and sisters; John R., Thomas E. and Abraham, all of Monongahela; Mrs. Margaret Ruth, of Old Washington, O.; Mrs. Jane Smail, of Finleyville, R.D.; Mrs. Julia Barclay, Mrs. J.C. Cowan and Mrs. Reed Craig, all of Monongahela.
Funeral services were held at the late home this afternoon, in charge of the Rev. A.A. Blake. Burial was in the Beallsville Cemetery.
