James Allen Pope Sr., 63, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah after a long illness.
He was a native of Chatham County and moved to Bulloch County four years ago. He was retired from Roger Woods Foods after 30 years and was a member of Westside Christian Church in Bloomindale.
Survivors include his wife, Janie C. Pope, Stilson; two daughters, Linda Jenkins, Stilson and Brenda Kay Wiggins, Guyton; one son, James A. Pope Jr., Stilson; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Joe Clifford officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Baptist Church cemetery near Stilson.
