James O. Leach was a son of Anderson and Matilda (Montgomery) Leach.

from the Gazette for February 19, 1920:

James O. "Chub" Leach, a well known farmer of Union township, is dead and his wife is insane as the result of attacks of influenza. Mr. Leach died Friday morning and the funeral was held from the home Sunday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. Braun of the M. E. church. Burial was in the K. of P. cemetery.

Mrs. Leach has been removed to the Fletcher Sanitarium at Indianapolis for treatment.
