Mrs. Homer C. Leach of Lizton, departed this life on Wednesday, October 15, death coming to her while in Indianapolis, where she had been for some time taking treatment for cancer. The remains were brought to Lizton the day following and on Friday, October 17, funeral services were held from the Antioch church in Boone County, at 10 am with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Walter L. King of Indianapolis, conducted the services.
Lenora Joseph was born December 12, 1877 (Note the 1880 and 1900 Census records show the year to be 1879.) October 14, 1900, she was married to Homer C. Leach. (Note other records indicate his middle initial was E.) To them was born five children. The first child and only girl died in infancy. Four boys are living, Joseph, Arthur, Walter and Norris. Wherever Nora went she made friends and was loved by all who knew her.
She bore her long sickness and intense suffering with patience, bravery and uncomplainingly, nor was she afraid to die. Her loved ones made every possible effort to keep her with them, but the Lord's voice had called. Her husband, four children, father and mother, two brothers, three sisters and many relatives and friends mourn her.
