Services for Ernest Claude Whitlock, 76, of 209 W. 43rd St., Anniston, are today at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Whitlock died Friday at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Collins Whitlock of Anniston; five daughters, Reba Dear of San Angelo, Texas, Claudia Flannery of Blandon, Pa., Genell Levesque of Columbus, Ga., Vanda Holt of Jacksonville and Patricia Carroll of Niceville, Fla.; four sons, James Collins and John E. Collins, both of Anniston, Ricky Collins of Anniston and Gene Collins of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Helen Cova of Anniston and Mary Kindred of Jacksonville; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Cova, Mark Cova, John E. Collins, James Collins, Allen Carroll, Gary Holt, Ricky Collins, Jack Murphy, Dennis Thomas, Freddie Auguste and Eddie Shurbutt.
Mr. Whitlock lived in Anniston for more than 56 years and had lived in Tyler, Texas, for 20 years. He was a former employee of Lee Brass and Gregerson's. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of VFW Post 924 and of the First Church of the Nazarene.
