OBITUARY XENIA GAZETTE Feb. 25, 1887:
Mrs. Nancy Jessup, aged 93 years, died last evening of consumption at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. David Gray, of Beavercreek Township. She was a cousin of the poet sisters, Alice and Phoebe Carey, and was born in Hamilton County, where she resided all her life until the last year and a half, which has been spent with her daughter. She will be taken to Cincinnati on Monday to be buried in Spring Grove Cemetery.
