Funeral services for Hubert Holsted, 82, of Carnegie were held Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Carnegie with Bro. Don Beall and Rev. Chip Perkins officiating.
Hubert was born September 8, 1921 in Welcome Home, Arkansas to Toby Lonzo and Mary Ellen (Harness) Holsted and died Sunday, May 2, 2004 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He married Mamie Suggs on August 17, 1941 in Imo, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on December 16, 1993. They moved to Carnegie in 1946 after he served with the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a past board member of the Coop Gin in Carnegie and a long-time area farmer and rancher.
He is survived by three sons, Jerry Holsted and wife, Sherry, Robert Holsted and wife Linda, Gary Holsted and wife Kay, all of Carnegie; one daughter, Delores Bartosovsky and husband, Junior of Carnegie; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Holsted of Broken Arrow; two sisters, Ola Clutts of Russellville, Arkansas and Tilda Treadwell of Wichita, Kansas; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mamie and one son, Jimmy.
Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie.
