Mrs. Alva Burdick, 58, of 14 S. Jackson St., died at 6:50 pm Wednesday in Mercy Hospital. Catherine Cantwell was the daughter of Henry and Nellie Rook Cantwell, was born Feb. 5, 1896, and was married to Alva Burdick in St Patricks Catholic Church Feb 14, 1912. She was a member of St. Patricks Altar Society.

Survivors are her husband; six sons, Jerome, Russell, Robert, Bernard, Donald and Dale; five daughters Mrs. Joseph Bouziane, Mrs. Edward Schyvinck, Mrs. Elmer Kotewitz, Mrs. Clarence Wendland, Mrs. Robert Schumacher; 18 grandchildren, all of Janesville; three brothers, John and Walter Cantwell, Janesville; and George Cantwell, Cedar Rapids IA.

Furneral services will be at 9:30 am Saturday in the Kimball-Nelson Funeral Home and at 10 o'clock in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday and the Rosary will be recited there at 8 pm Friday.
