Morris was born on the family Cox farm located in Blanco County, Tx. He joined the Army Air Corp during WWII and was a member of a B-29 bomber crew stationed on Guam.

He loved flying, and continued after his military service to fly his own planes. His love for animals of the exotic continued all his life, collecting Elephants, Tigers, Bears, and just about every reptile he could get..
Always researching, and interested in every aspect of life and its creatures, he was well read.
Loved by his family and friends, he was a dreamer, a great story teller, and adventurer.
