COTTEN, WILLIAM

William Cotten died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F.F. Collins, of 3020
Lasker avenue, at 1:25 o'clock yesterday morning. He was 66 years old.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon from the home at 2:30 o'clock,
Rev. R.A. Langston officiating. The body will be carried to Moody in one of
Compton's hearses, where the Independent Order of Odd Fellows will have
charge of the burial services.
Mr. Cotten is survived by his widow, two sons, Walter and Charlie, both of
Waco; five daughters, Mrs. T.B. Cheek, Mrs. W.W. Taylor, Mrs. O.J. Nolen and
Mrs. F.F. Collins, all of Waco, and Mrs. Carl Kluck of Denton; one sister,
Mrs. H.S. Lane of Tulia, Texas; three brothers, L.B. Cotten of Turkey,
Texas, H.L. of Mangnum, Okla., and J.B. of Godsen, Ala.
Active pallbearers will be six grandsons of Mr. Cotten: Eugene and Charles
Taylor, Claude, Raymond and Louie Cheek, and Arnold Mallory. Honorary
pallbearers are J.W. Tabor, Frank Wilson, George McLane, J.W. Harper, Harvey
and Jim Fadal, Tarp Hay and C.C. Whitson
