Catherine J. "Katy" Fosnaugh, 91, a longtime resident of Linn Grove, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at the Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Katy was born in Adams County on Sept. 30, 1919, to John and Clara (Chrisman) Pearson. She married Fred Fosnaugh on Nov. 27, 1943; he preceded her in death in 1988.
Katy was a member of the Living Water United Methodist Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Ladies Aide. She also was a former employee of C.T.S. Corporation of Berne retiring after twenty-five years of service. Katy collected Angels and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Katy is survived by three daughters, Carole (Bruce) Mann of Monroe, Peggy (Robert) Diek of Fort Wayne and Sandra (Richard) Courson of Warsaw; two grandchildren, one step grandchild, five step great-grandchildren, and two step great-great-grandchildren.
Katy was preceded in death by two brothers, John Pearson and Lawrence Pearson; and five sisters, Goldie Schott, Edith Pearson, Alta Pearson, Marie Hapill, and Irene Johns.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, and from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home with Lay Minister John F. Habegger officiating.
Burial will be in the Six-Mile Cemetery of rural Bluffton.
Preferred memorials are to the Living Water United Methodist Church or to the donor's choice.
