Safronia (seen as Saphronia in other records) was my two-times Grandmother. She was born in Marion, Smythe County, Virginia. She moved to Oklahoma sometime between 1880-1900 to the Oklahoma City area. She briefly lived in Missouri for several children were born there. She lived in Oklahoma for about 19 years and then moved to the town of Whittier, California and lived there until her death in 1934.

I recently went to her graveside and found that the grounds and headstone are meticulously cared for. I was surprised at the massive cemetery grounds for they encompassed both sides of the street. If you are venturing to this cemetery be sure to visit the office as their staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating!
