Lucius Wyatt, 53, Western Writer, Dies After Illness
Lucius Edgar Wyatt, 53, of 733 E. Speedway, Tucson, author, died last night in a local hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Wyatt had authored several books on the West during the past dozen years.
A native of Hot Springs, Ark., he came to Tucson in 1924, and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1926.
Up to the time of his retirement in 1939, Mr. Wyatt owned a boot[sic] store on E. Congress st.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Irene Barnes Wyatt, originally from Winston-Salem, N.C.; two brothers, Robert and William.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Parker-Kerr Mortuary.
